BusinessWise meeting 31st March 2017

Very good meeting today, a great way to end the month.

Dawn Prosser of Gateway Furniture brought her manager, Andrew Williams, along to talk about all the good work Gateway does in the community and their plans for the future. Fiona Scott won the door prize provided by Gateway Furniture.

Helena Griffiths gave a great education slot on how to de-stress and value ourselves.

Mike Lloyd of Haines Watts Swindon was awarded the trophy for being the best 60 second speaker.

BusinessWise meeting 17th March 2017

This week 15 qualified business referrals were passed between members and invoiced work totaled £27,900.

Alison Buck of Rosemary Bookkeeping won the best 60 seconds award and Stuart McNeil, Bevirs Solicitors, was awarded the door prize from Lorraine Stevens, HR4Business.

Lorraine Stevens gave a great talk about her Human Resource services and the importance of employing an experienced and qualified professional. Phil Moody of Avonwood Financial Planning talked to us about maintaining a good work life balance in the education slot.

BusinessWise meeting 10th March 2017

Another great BusinessWise meeting, Stuart McNeil, Bevirs Solicitors, gave the education slot on how to complete and submit a Small Claims form.

Phil Moody of Avonwood Financial Planning presented a great 10 minutes on pensions and the importance of having one.

10 qualified business referrals were passed between members and invoiced work for the week totaled £11,225.

The best 60 seconds price was presented by Anne Messer of Bespoke Training Services to Mick Haren of Sandymount Construction. Phill Moody’s door prize was won by Jerry Thornton of Thornton Associates.

3rd March 2017 BusinessWise meeting

Calum Costello of Jackie Kerr Recruitment won the award for best contributor in February.

Mick Haren of Sandymount Construction presented the education slot on the qualities needed to be a good substitute. Stewart McNeil of Bevirs Solicitors gave a fantastic 10 minutes about common legal misconceptions. Stewart also presented the door prize to Nic Ruddle.

Anne Messer won the best 60 seconds award and also announced that over £32,000 of invoiced business was passed at this weeks meeting.

The BusinessWise open networking event with Stephanie Millward MBE raised over £530 for Gateway.
