Welcome to the BusinessWise website where you can find out all about us and what we offer to committed, caring and confident business owners based in Swindon, North Wiltshire and nearby.
BusinessWise is a business referral group where we network, we get to know each other, and we take the time to get to learn about our different sectors and businesses. This enables us to pass on qualified and legitimate leads and referrals. We find by operating in this way that referrals are then made quite naturally and with confidence that an excellent product or service will be delivered.
We do have a single seat policy within the group which means no member will compete with an existing member within the group. Some of our members have been with us for a number of years and include companies such as Black Nova Designs, Drain Developments, A Plan Insurance and Orange stripe Outsourcing.
We are proactive within the group, we engage in group marketing activities, we take part in business events, and we also organise social events so that we get to know each other outside of a work environment.

Not for profit
- What does that mean
As a not-for-profit organisation, our annual membership fee and our monthly fees pay for our fortnightly breakfast meetings, our marketing activity and our participation in events or to fund events under our own banner. Our aim is that we keep these extra events very low cost for members or even free if funds allow.
Charity
One other key element to BusinessWise is that we always have a charitable seat which is funded by other members to support the third sector in our community.
That seat has been held for several years by charity expert Dawn Prosser who works across the local charities Swindon Night Shelter & Renew (Men in Sheds). Not only is this seat gifted to our charitable member, we proactively support both organisations by offering services in kind, donating cash for specific causes and we also do an annual cash collection for the Swindon Christmas Toy Appeal. To date we have donated well over £20,000 to support our charitable partner.
